Dominatrix RMX – The Remix King

If there is one constant in electronic music it is the remix. No matter the style or sub-genre of electronic music, there are always remixes. Some are good, some are bad, and some reach those lofty heights of surpassing the quality of the original track. In my youth I would seek out bootleg Depeche Mode remix albums (this was prior to the internet being a big deal…yes, I’m old) and I would trade remix tapes with friends from around the country. Now it’s much easier to find remixes of your favorite songs by your favorite bands. A few keystrokes and you can find countless revisions of just about any song you can think of. If they’re so easy to find, why am I making a post about it? Because you’ve not heard a remix until you’ve heard it done by Dominatrix RMX.

If you’re a Depeche Mode fan his YouTube page is the holy land. It’s chock full of some of the best remixes I’ve had the opportunity to hear (and I’ve heard A LOT so I’m somewhat of an authority on the subject). But he doesn’t stop at Depeche Mode. You get high quality remixes of New Order, Haujobb, Assemblage 23, Covenant, Erasure, Front 242, and more. There are literally hours of music at your fingertips. Be thankful that the days of scouring for that prime remix on a mix tape mailing list are over.

There’s something to be said about creating works of art out of material that already exists and in that Dominatrix RMX is a master. Check out his YouTube page by clicking HERE. You won’t regret it!
