Throwback Thursday: Front Line Assembly/Plasticity

In 1996, industrial pioneers Front Line Assembly released one of the all time great stand alone singles. Plasticity grew out of the Hard Wired recording sessions but was never included. The track is a heavy hitter, even by EBM standards. What’s crazy is that it sounds just as relevant today as it did back in 1996. At just over 20 years old, Plasticity is one of those tracks that has honestly grown better with age. Why? Respect for what Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber were able to pull out of machinery that is ancient by today’s standards.

If this is your first time hearing it, I envy the chance to experience it that way again. If it’s been a while, put on some headphones and sit back in awe like I’m doing as I write this.
