New Music: Black Needle Noise / Swimming Through Dreams (feat. Mimi Page)

Black Needle Noise has a new single out titled Swimming Through Dreams. The track features ethereal vocals by Mimi Page who just contributed to the new Delerium album Mythologie that came out at the end of last year. It’s a darkly beautiful song that weaves its way through the mists that form just out of reach. There’s an otherworldly feel to it that almost demands repeat listens to unlock its mysteries.

If you’re not already familiar with Black Needle Noise then get ready to carve out some free time because you’ve got some catching up to do. It’s the brainchild of legendary producer John Fryer who has put his mark on some of the greatest albums ever released. It would take forever to write up a full list of bands he’s produced but I can name a few that will give you serious pause…Yazoo, Nitzer Ebb, Nine Inch Nails, Love and Rockets, De/Vision, and Cradle of Filth. And that’s a fraction of what he’s done.

Lucky for you I’ve decided I’m going to work my way back through his singles and albums and start featuring one every week. I think his Black Needle Noise project deserves the attention and I know that the people that read my page will find something to like. There are so many directions these songs go, it’s a certainty that you’re going to find one (or many!) that connect with you. So, stay tuned. There’s a lot more where this came from. Feel free to jump ahead and check out his Bandcamp page. You’ll be ahead of the curve on my upcoming posts!
