Black Needle Noise / Extermination

In my continued effort to cover John Fryer’s Black Needle Noise project every week, today’s focus is on a track called Extermination. It’s a bit unique for a stand alone single because it’s actually more than that. The song is used as the musical backdrop in the trailer for Extermination, a movie being pitched by Bruce Sterling John Knox.

The song is a post apocalyptic build up that really delivers the goods before the time runs out. Hearing it by itself is great but it’s a completely different experience when you watch the trailer. The tension ramps up to the breaking point before the depths of the song hit. It’s an example of the right music used for the right visual media. Check out the trailer and head over to the Black Needle Noise Bandcamp to purchase the track. Stay tuned next week for more John Fryer goodness.
