Today’s Listening: Xetrovoid / The Fugitive

What better way to start the day than with some dystopian, post-apocalyptic darkwave! My soundtrack this morning is The Fugitive by Xetrovoid out of The Netherlands. This is darksynth work at its best and with new material due out soon, 2017 is shaping up to be a good one for those of you who like a shadow thrown over your music. Be sure to keep your eyes on Echosynthetic because we will definitely be doing a feature on the new album, Nowhere to Run, when it hits!

The Fugitive follows the story of a population control cyborg who has found refuge in the underground after losing his family to the same army he was a part of. Now he waits in the shadows while waiting for his time to strike. What a great set-up! It’s the plot line for one of the great 80’s movies that never existed until now. Xetrovoid created an equally dark soundtrack for this story…a believable musical story line that takes us from the seedy underground clubs to the dark and dangerous streets where our protagonist now calls home.

Epic Preview of Nowhere To Run

Xetrovoid has a lot of other great stuff on offer and I highly recommend you head over to his Bandcamp page if you like what you heard here (and you should!). Now if you don’t mind, I’m going back out into the wasteland of ruined streets to listen to more of The Fugitive.
