Depeche Mode fan pre-sale tickets for the North American leg went on sale today, and I’m warning you, if you didn’t participate in waiting list, I don’t know if you’re going to get tickets. My experience today leads me to believe this is going to be a massively successful tour. I finished up after scalper and bot removal at #13 in the line for the show in Nashville, Tennessee’s Ascend Amphitheater. This was after three album purchases, 36 referrals that signed up for the pre-sale, and a few Tweets and Facebook posts. My 13th spot gained me access to the first wave of the access code at 12:00 EST. I logged in the second the site opened up the tickets, got logged in, and ended up with tickets in section 101, Row H. It’s a great spot and I’m happy with it, but a lot of seats went very quickly. I can’t imagine that there were many good seats left by the time that the last wave of tickets went up for grabs, let alone the public on-sale this Firday. This is good news for a band that has been writing music and touring since 1981. Not very many bands can claim that many years of sustained success. I’m looking forward to the show, though the wait until September is going to be unbearable!
